This Terra Lusa product pattern was inspired by a motif from the “Lenços dos Namorados do Minho.” These “lenços de namorados” are hand-embroidered scarves that symbolize love and passion in Portuguese culture.
Eco bags are reusable and extremely practical for shopping, being able to be used countless times. Despite supporting up to 10 kg, they weigh only 35 g, making them ideal to carry in a bag. Approximate measurements: pouch 7×12 cm; bag 43×52 cm.

The “lenços de namorados,” symbols of a courting ritual, first appeared in the 17th century in noble salons and were later adopted by the women of the people, who gave them their own characteristics. In celebration of love and passion, the “lenços de namorados” or “lenços de pedido” aimed, according to Minho tradition, to win the suitor’s heart. After years of neglect, the “lenços de namorados” resurfaced as an icon of Portuguese culture.
The “Lenços dos Namorados do Minho” are a traditional handcrafted product with PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) certification, whose registration belongs to A.CERTIFICA, the entity responsible for its certification.
