They also include symbolic elements, such as the heart, representing love, and the phoenix, associated with immortality. The patterns of Castelo Branco Embroidery are artisanal products certified by Adere-Certifica, with a registered trademark and Geographical Indication (GI) from the Municipality of Castelo Branco.
