The single-figure tile, inspired by Dutch Delft styles, emerged in the late 17th century when patterned tiles fell out of fashion. These tiles introduced themes and designs more aligned with the Portuguese way of interpreting life, giving them a distinctly national style.

Their painting covers a wide range of themes: flowers, animals, boats, houses, towers, baskets with flowers or fruits, and human figures.

The main characteristic of these tiles is the loose ornamental motif that decorates the center. This motif can be the only decorative element of the tile or can be complemented by other adornments in the corners, which may be connected or isolated.

The brand Terra Lusa presents various collections of products, each one a tribute to Portugal’s Cultural Heritage. Among the products are notebooks, fans, eco bags, mini umbrellas, glasses cases, and microfiber cloths. All are divided into themes inspired by typically Portuguese elements.

800 Years of History, Culture and Tradition inspired the design of the various products in which quality allies with contemporary design.
